DELUSION

DELUSION IS A LAMP LIKE NO OTHER, EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ART AND DESIGN THROUGH LIGHT.

The lamp rests quietly and anonymously within the canvas until it is called upon to perform. When combined with light, it transforms. Then, once its function is no longer required, it recedes back into the quiet of negative space, back into the canvas. Its very nature encourages curiosity around the beautifully complex and ever-changing relationship between shadow and light. This eternal tension is mirrored too in the parallel between Art and Design that lies at the core of Delusion. It is an exploration of art inspired by light, using the language and visual typography of modern lighting, the lamp. The canvas, borrowed from the art world, instead of acting as the catalyst for a painting is the very thing that becomes the source of light.

Delusion is a family of lamps designed to stand out in any room, on any surface.

INSPIRED BY ART

Delusion draws inspiration from the art world, a white canvas as the beginning of every masterpiece. It challenges the traditional two-dimensional quality of a painting using light as its third dimension.
FINDING THE PERFECT MATERIALS

Extensive research went into finding the perfect lighting counterpart to the traditional artist’s canvas. Great care has been taken to ensure each element of Delusion mirrors the function of its inspiration.
USE OF AN ARCHETYPE

Using the visual motif of a lamp, Delusion is Design hidden within Art. Borrowing from each world, its language is that of illumination, simultaneously lighting its environment whilst making a bold statement.
AN ADAPTABLE NATURE

On a table or a wall, Delusion is designed to adjust to different settings and brighten any interior.
